Impulse-resistant settings
Create a pause between wanting to disable protection and actually changing the selected setting.
Free optional accountability
HAJR lets you add a verified accountability partner and use Strict Mode for selected protection changes. Your partner can receive approval requests and notifications when protection is weakened or the extension is removed.
Part of the free HAJR Chrome extension. Not a separate download.
Add a trusted person intentionally and verify the relationship before Strict Mode can use partner approval.
Strict Mode can require a time-limited partner code before selected blocking protections are disabled.
With accountability configured, HAJR can trigger a partner notification when the extension is removed.
HAJR's Chrome accountability is based on protection events, not continuous screenshots of everything viewed on the device.
What this does
HAJR is a free Chrome porn blocker with an optional accountability layer. You can designate a trusted person's email, complete partner verification, and then enable Strict Mode. When you attempt to turn off selected protections, HAJR can require a short-lived approval code sent to that partner. HAJR can also trigger a partner notification when the extension is removed. This does not make a Chrome extension impossible to disable or uninstall; the browser owner ultimately controls Chrome. The purpose is to make an impulsive change visible and involve someone you intentionally chose, without turning HAJR into a screenshot-monitoring service.
Setup
Add HAJR to Chrome and complete the account setup required for synced and accountability features.
Ask someone you trust before entering their email, and agree on how approval requests should be handled.
Your partner receives a code that must be returned to you to verify the connection.
Turn on Strict Mode after verification so selected protection changes require partner involvement.
When it helps
Create a pause between wanting to disable protection and actually changing the selected setting.
Involve a trusted person through protection events without sending them continuous device screenshots.
Use verification and approval requests as part of an explicit conversation instead of silently assigning someone responsibility for your recovery.
