Free Chrome extension

Close the browser routes before the evening starts.

A laptop at 11pm is its own kind of problem. HAJR blocks known adult sites in Chrome, blurs explicit images before they land, quiets the feeds that pull you sideways, and can bring in a partner if you want one.

Every feature in the current extension is free. Google sign-in is used for account and synced features.

In the extension

  • Adult-site blocking
  • Local explicit-image checks
  • Short-form video controls
  • Optional accountability
How it handles your data

What is inside

Six things it does, all free.

Adult-site blocking

Stops known adult domains using Chrome's browser-level blocking rules before the destination page can be used.

Local explicit-image checks

Classifies sufficiently large images in the browser and blurs those detected as explicit, with adjustable sensitivity.

Short-form video controls

Can restrict supported YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels routes as well as TikTok access on desktop.

Optional accountability

Add a verified partner, require approval for selected protection changes, and trigger a notification when the extension is removed.

Custom website controls

Add personal trigger domains from the extension settings and manage the boundaries that matter to you.

Progress counters

See a porn-free timer together with local counts for blocked sites and blurred images.

Accountability, if you want it

What Strict Mode actually does.

With a verified partner, Strict Mode can require a partner-provided code before selected protection settings are changed, and can notify them if the extension is removed.

What it gives you is the pause, and another person knowing. That pause is usually the whole difference.

Your data

Image checks happen on your machine.

Explicit-image classification is designed to run locally in your browser. Sign-in and accountability need limited account and partner details to reach HAJR's service, and the privacy policy sets out exactly what that covers.

A Chrome extension protects browser activity, so pair it with the iPhone app if your phone is the harder place.

Add it now, while it is a small decision.

Install once, turn on the layers that match your plan, and test them tonight rather than in the moment you need them.
